"Rain"

Rain.
It spatters onto my window.
Drip drop, Drip drop.
The droplets of water slide down,
Leaving wet trails along the glass behind them.

Drip,drop, drip drop.

I rest my elbow on the window sill,
I let out a sigh.
My breath forms a cloud on the smooth surface.

Drip, drop, drip drop.

The sky is blocked by a thick cluster of clouds.
Big, grey, and gloomy.
They cling to the sky like leeches,
Draining the bright blue away.

Drip, Drop, Drip, Drop.
Rain.

It's been raining here a lot. I don't like rain very much. I like the smell, and the noise, but that's it. Other than that it's gloomy and a nuisance. We need it though so oh well. What do you think of my poem?

  1. I like having the gloom. It's like a blanket or a sheild from everything bad. I love it when the rain falls just outside my window and sings me to sleep.
